Aquaponics : Growbed Seven - Catch up

We plant our cherry tomato... following the gravity....

Aquaponics : Growbed Six - Catch up

And here is the six... The growbed six. We have one ladyfinger and 8 cherry tomato plants here.

Aquaponics : Yes... Not easy at all

Let's have a break on the catch up... share what we harvested yesterday evening.

A bit chapperlang... Have loofah, cherry tomatoes,  lettuces,  amaranth spinach and ladyfingers....

Aquaponics : Growbed Four - catch up

There are two adult ladyfingers here together with leafy veggies.

As mentioned the other day, our idea is use the fruit plant to create nature fence and shade for the rest.

Aquaponics : Growbed Three - Catch up

The growbed where the 7ft ladyfinger is located.

Anyway, we are planning to pull it off in coming weekend.

Aquaponics : Growbed Two - Catch up

Here is the growbed we told will be clean up soon and still pending.

Spotted some lettuces are growing but look like wouldn't go further.

We plan to clean this coming Saturday together with the growbed three.

Aquaponics : Growbed One - catch up

Nothing much on growbed one after the cleaned up recently.  Planted some leafy vegetables and testing on the red pepper and two ladyfinger coming up.

Aquaponics : ouch... We gonna need a stairs...

The ladyfinger we have is getting taller and would need to use a stairs to harvest.

Initially, We were thinking of using it as a nature fence and shade for the rest... But looks like we need to reconsider it. There are still six coming up in about a month from now.

Aquaponics : The Radial Flow Filter for Main System

Yet another mini radial flow filter for the main system. Seriously, we are in need of a serious filter system for it as the fish stocking density is too high. The six growbeds are not sufficient enough to cope the life cycle.

Incoming weeks,  we will be shifting fishes around as some of them are growing bigger.

... Aeration... Filtration... Circulation... etc issues...

Before that,  let's place a mini version to evaluate the efficiency... The outflow from this filter is directed to the taller tank for extra water circulation and aeration.

Of course,  we are in need of fish poops for fertilizing the soil based plants in the roof.

As for the serious filter... Let's wait for our inspiration...

Aquaponics : RG420 - The Radial Flow Filter

Looks like it is about time to have it clean and fertilize our soil based plants on the roof.

Recently, we have been cleaning and adjusting the water level in the RG420,  those activities causing lots of fish poops flow into the system, initially we were worried about the ammonia level but looked like we were over reacted. Thank God... :)

Aquaponics : RG420 - Lane 3 Clean up

Having the Lane 3 Clean up and readjusted the water level.

Anyway, to be frank, duckweed needed to be isolated from the system!!! Never mix them up with aquaponics.

Duckweed growing in the gutter lane 3...uncontrolled...

Expecting slower growing from now on...

Rearrange the plants... With lower water level... Let's see how it grow...

Aquaponics : The Bioball

Have bought about 300 bioballs for the biofilter; however, wouldn't be able to find one as quality as shown in the figure with a reasonable price.

Luffa - The Conventional Way

The new luffa from the soil.  It's fertilized by the fish poops from the aquaponics mechanical filter. We found the result is really promising.

We are planting organic veggies here... (for those not in our aquaponics system)

Aquaponics : Last weekend harvest from RG420

Grow your own veggies aquaponically...
