Little cuttlefish @Tanjung Sepat

Recently, starting to have taste-tests on fried little cuttlefish. Up to now, tested two restaurants in the area...still haven't found what I am looking for~

虾面粉糕 @ Jitpun Tanjung Sepat

Tried this 虾面粉糕(prawn flat noodle) at a food stall called 'Jitpun' located next to Jalan Timur (West bound of Tanjung sepat town).

I would say it is a new experience since i always like prawn noodle.

All you have to do is stop talking and eat it or else you will know what I mean. :)

Treasure hunting : Electronic draw

Found this old style 'electronic' draw at Bee Lee coffee shop. I believe it is at least 20 years old.

Home-Made Bao

Unlike Bao from Hai Yew Heng, this one's bigger and juicy. Its Skin's not bad at all. If you cant get Hai Yew Heng Bao' during your trip, get this one instead.

Can be bought from GaoLao Food Stall.

Satay...

If i remember correctly, there are around six satay stalls in the area.

This one's located at Ong Ung food corner.

Good :
1. Quite a 'big/long' satay
2. Not overburn

Not so good:
1. Sauce tasted so so

Hai Yew Heng Bao - 海友兴

Famous Hai Yew Heng bao (Chinese Dumpling) from Tanjung Sepat.

The skin's nice. The taste (inside) i would say so so. Compare to those back in 1980s, there's a big big gap there. Used to be juicy but not anymore. I know it's very subjective but if you'd tatsted what they got back then you will surely know what i meant. Of course, to me, size doesnt matter if its taste's good.

Tai Kor Seng Food Corner - 大哥成

Place for breakfast... Have wanton noodles, roti canai, kuey thiew soup, dasheen pudding... etc.

I like the wanton noodles here, different smell and taste with the one at Thian Thian Kopitiam and GaoLao Food Stall.

Restaurant Hai Keng

This restaurant used to be my favorite. The closest to the coast at Tanjung Sepat. I came here for book reading and seafood. However, due to the erosion of its coast and the fallen of a big tree two years ago. I stopped visiting it.

I returned to this place a month ago and WoW... it's been renovated and looking good, although it's not as good as before but it looked cleaner.

Specialties : SeaFood, Curry Chicken etc...

Business Hour: Noon to 7pm everyday.

The Best Time for SunRise and SunSet' Photos @ Tanjung Sepat

I would like to rephrase that it's almost the best time for the beautiful sunrise and sunset in this area.

Keep looking/waiting or pointing your camera to the south-east around 720am in the morning or south-west around 721pm in the evening for these three months (until March 2010) and you will never regret it.

Current SunRise position... and sunset position.
