As the fishes are growing bigger and bigger in the taller tank, we observed that sometimes they starting to 'piping' on the surface. Believe that it's due to the DO issue. Hence, we have created or enhanced the water inflow with some DIY venturi siphon with a new and existing pumps.

Cabomba spreads like there is no tomorrow in our sump tank. Would plan to have them trimmed and feed the tilapia coming weekend. So far, observed there isn't any side impact to the system.
We have continuing growing them in some other fish tanks.

As mentioned previously, a balanced aquaponics has ammonia and nitrite level of about 0-1mg/litre.
How about nitrate? What you got to do if :
Q: nitrate levels are less than 5 mg/litre?
A: increase the feed rate per day SLOWLY...don't overfeeding the fishes.
Q: nitrate levels rises above 150mg/litre?
A: Exchange your water.

Two weeks back, during a visit, my friend's given me a bag of Cabomba to be grown in the Aquaponics system. We are not sure if it is suitable for Aquaponics but it is a good practice for an aquaculture.
Found that, it is really hard to conclude as we don't perform periodic water quality check... How about under a high stocking density Aquaponics? The nitrate level? Etc etc..?
What say you?
